Origins: This ancient property was built round a walled castle of the XII century set in one of the most strategically important points at that time for the control over the Florence and Siena's main transport ways. In 1629 the castle was partially destroyed by the Ghibellini party of Siena during a battle against the Gualfi's party of Florence.
The restoration has focused on keeping unchanged the original house’s style and layout and just high-end and handmade materials were used. All the rooms boast wonderful, old stone walls obtained from the ancient fortress, thus creating a magic atmosphere.
